Built in the northern department of island, in order to gives possibility of monitoring of to a great extent her sea, Fylakopi became big commercial and cultural center. Thanks to the marketing of precious Stone, it was developed rapidly, it acquired force, it erected cyclopean walls for the intruders and was destroyed and redevelped three times.

This period finishes with the destruction of Fylakopis, very probably from fire of invaders, while with construction of third settlement, begins the 3rd historical period of city (1600 B.C. - 1110 p. x.). At the duration of this last period Fylakopi presents organized, complex street-plan drawing, fortification with tally cyclopean walls of thickness of beyond 6 meters and certain bigger houses, from which also two-storied. In the beginning of this period the effect of minoikoy culture was intense (found themselves departments of plate with Minoiki Linear A), but slowly-slowly penetrates, and in the end predominates, the [mykinaiko] element. Roughly in 1400 is built a palace [Mykinaikoy] of type with a lot of rooms and one of holy two rooms. Also is produced work high sculptural and ceramic art, with more important sample the “Dame of Fylakopis” (You can you see him in the Archaeological Museum Milos). From 1200 B.C. in Aegean become reorganizations, known commercial streets are abandoned, while Minoikos and Mykinaikos culture have slacked. That period the city of Fylakopis stops it constitutes commercial center and it begins falling, while the commercial center and the activity of island is transported in the ancient city of Climate.
